In the earlier versions we used ^ for power, but I changed it to ** recently, ^ is the XOR symbol in a lot of languages and I thought using it for power will confuse a lot of people. Personally I prefer ^ to ** for power, but if I go with that I have no idea what symbol I should use for XOR.
